- в FM-диапазоне - на русском, украинском и молдавском языках;

- в СВ-диапазоне - на русском языке;

- в КВ-диапазоне - на русском, английском, немецком и французском языках;

- on-line трансляция в Интернете - на русском, украинском и молдавском языках.

News from Pridnestrovie

Pridnestrovian Supreme Soviet adopted a statement in which they called the "provisions of the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the situation in Moldova "biased and inconsistent with the realities. We remind that that the resolution was adopted by the PACE in the beginning of October.

The Supreme Soviet notes that the Pridnestrovian parliament met several times with representatives of PACE, but despite this, the final document, as well as the draft resolution of 9 September, has retained biased approach.

"In particular, the document indicates the "growing tensions in recent months caused by unilateral decisions of the de facto authorities in the Pridnestrovian region," thus absolutely ignoring the fact that in recent months is the Pridnestrovian side has put forward a number of initiatives aimed at finding win-win solutions for the benefit of the people and the people of Pridnestrovie in Moldova," reads the statement of the Pridnestrovian parliament.

The MPs say that the Pridnestrovian leadership has proposed, in particular, the specific projects to unlock the freedom of movement between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova and the smooth functioning of the road transport. Note that no responses of the Moldavian authorities had been received, moreover, on October 2013 there were put into operation migration checkpoints of Moldova, which will create additional obstacles to the movement of people in this region of Europe, the statement reads.

According to the Pridnestrovian parliament, PACE actions only exacerbate conflict between Kishinev and Tiraspol.

The Supreme Soviet "does not share the PACE concerns regarding the alleged "violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Pridnestrovie." They note that the PACE representatives were not involved in the study of the human rights situation in the country, which means that their findings can not be regarded as objective and reasonable. The authors of the statement indicated that the Pridnestrovian leadership's efforts are aimed at implementation of the recommendations of the senior expert of the UN Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg in Pridnestrovie.

The Supreme Soviet of Pridnestrovie is against any insinuations concerning the Russian military presence in the country. It calls on PACE to abandon the "propaganda clichés" and suggests focusing on the question of fulfillment by the Moldavian Party of its obligations in the field of human rights, in the first place - the right of citizens to freedom of movement.

The question of changing the format of the peacekeeping operation can be decided only after the final model of settlement between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova is acheved – the statement reads. Pridnestrovie considers the issue of military-political presence of the Russian Federation the most important guarantee of security and respect for human rights, especially in a situation where Moldova is actively increasing its military cooperation with NATO and its individual members, particularly Romania. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe should rather pay special attention to the military-technical cooperation between Moldova and Romania, which threatens peace and stability.

Also Pridnestrovian MPs expressed surprise at the call of PACE to the authorities of Pridnestrovie and Russia to ensure the functioning in Pridnestrovie of the schools pertaining to the system of education neighboring Moldova.

"We emphasize once again: if all the requirements of the law of Pridnestrovie and the rights of students and their parents are observed by the administration of these schools, they will be able to operate within the legal framework of Pridnestrovie without any hindrance from the Pridnestrovian side. The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic does not consider itself in any way bound by certain decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, in whose discussion it was not involved, even more so if it concerns not legal, but politically motivated decisions," reads the statement.

In view of the foregoing, the Supreme Soviet stated that PACE does not contribute to the settlement of the Moldavian-Pridnestrovian conflict, but instead puts off the adoption of decisions that would benefit the people of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.

Members of the Pridnestrovian parliament also call on the Council of Europe and its structures to "refuse the use in their work and the rhetoric of propaganda clichés that do not meet the current negotiation, legal, political and other realities" and suggested the Assembly "focusing on the issue of fulfillment by the Moldavian Party of its obligations in the field of respect for human rights in the first place - the right to freedom of movement."

"For its part, the Supreme Soviet of Pridnestrovie remains open for constructive dialogue and looks forward to further collaboration with representatives of international organizations," reads the statement.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie has criticized the draft resolution of PACE, also calling it "biased."

Pridnestrovian President Yevgeny Shevchuk received a delegation led by U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Eric Rubin.

During the meeting, the President spoke about the current state of the economy and social sphere of the republic.

The dialogue participants exchanged views on topical issues related to the Moldavian-Pridnestrovian settlement. In particular, they discussed the results of the recent Conference in Landshut (Germany), as well as preparation for the next round of negotiations in the "5+2" format, due to be held in Kiev on November 25-26 this year. Yevgeny Shevchuk said that the main priority for Pridnestrovie in negotiations with Moldova is solving long-standing socio-economic problems.

In addition, the meeting touched upon the forthcoming initialling by the Republic of Moldova of the Agreement on deep and comprehensive free trade area with the European Union. The Head of State stressed the potential negative effect for the economy of Pridnestrovie of the above integration processes. According to the President, amidst blocking of Pridnestrovie's foreign trade, the regime of the zone of free trade with the EU will lead to a doubling of limitations for Pridnestrovian economic agents involved in exports. The President outlined the importance of considering the EU's initiative to develop a special formula for trade with Pridnestrovie, which could be issued as a separate document.

Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Nina Shtanski commented on the negative consequences of possible agreements of the Republic of Moldova on free trade zone with the EU in an interview with the Russian TV channel "Vesti. Economy".

In her view, the agreement does not take into account specifics of the Pridnestrovian economy. After all, today the economic development of the country is hindered by the obstacles in the realization of the Pridnestrovians' right to exercise foreign trade, secured in the Memorandum of normalization of relations in 1997 .

The diplomat recalled that the guarantors of the document are the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the OSCE. However, in recent years, Pridnestrovie has thrice - in 2001, 2003 and 2006 – been subjected to an economic blockade. And in 2012, Kishinev complicated even more the rules of the game for the Pridnestrovian economic agents who are forced to undergo the appropriate registration in the Republic of Moldova, with a view to, inter alia, export their products to the European market under preferential certificates of the EU.

The Minister stressed that the signing of association agreement by Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova at the EU summit in Vilnius in late November, will further aggravate the economic situation of Pridnestrovie. In the absence of a specific mechanism for foreign trade Pridnestrovie risks being locked between free trade areas that Ukraine and Moldova intend to establish with the EU.

The head of the Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the details of the new agreement between Brussels and Kishinev Tiraspol are still unknown. Pridnestrovian representatives participated as observers at various stages of the negotiations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, but a number of activities were held secretly. And, obviously, the text of the proposed agreement will take into consideration neither specific economic system of Pridnestrovie nor practical interests of Pridnestrovian enterprises, which threatens them with new challenges, stated Nina Shtanski.

She believes that in the current circumstances, the conclusion by Brussels and Kishinev of a new agreement will only deepen the contradictions between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. To avoid further negative consequences, particularly in the context of direct consultations between representatives of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the European Union, one should develop a special formula of economic cooperation, given the unsettled Pridnestrovian-Moldavian relations. The formula could be consolidated in a separate annex to the upcoming agreement on deep and comprehensive free trade area between Moldova and the EU, signed Shtanski.

All the cities and districts of Pridnestrovie hosted the Festival of Russian Culture of Russian compatriots of Pridnestrovie "We are together" in celebration of National Unity Day in Russia.

The festival was organized by the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie supported by the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the Moscow Government and assisted by the Moscow center of international cooperation.

According to the chairman of the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie Viorika Kohtareva, at the Palace of the Republic the festival brought together the best teams of Pridnestrovie. The festival, she said, was organized to demonstrate that the values of Russian culture in our country are preserved, developed and cultivated.

The program of the gala concert featured Russian folk and modern pieces. Among them, were the vocal performances, dance and modeling teams, and the hall of the Palace of the Republic hosted an exhibition of arts and crafts.

According to Viorika Kohtareva, the choice of the name of the festival, "We are together" is due to the fact that the idea of national unity has always been the basis for the past, present and future. "Here in Pridnestrovie we have a unique situation: people live in harmony and in peace side by side with each other, respecting the traditions, culture and beliefs of other people. And we in Pridnestrovie have always been with Russia, and Russia has always been with us. We have made our choice: we are together with Russia," she said.

At the end of the gala concert of the festival 18 participants were awarded with certificates and gifts.

Recall that in celebration of National Unity Day, besides the festival, all the cities of Pridnestrovie have also hosted public concerts.

In the Pridnestrovian capital, the cinema complex "Tiraspol," on the initiative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova, is hosting the II Festival of Swedish cinema.

As we have previously reported, in the period from 8 to 12 November, Tiraspolians and guests are offered five films of different genres, that have already been shown successfully in Sweden.

Responding to questions from journalists before the film show, foreign minister of Pridnestrovie Nina Shtanski noted that such events largely contribute to the development of humanitarian ties and cultural interaction between states. "Film festivals have become a tradition in our country. This year, Pridnestrovie has hosted the festivals of French, German cinema, in particular, silent films. The week of Russian cinema completed not so long ago. The first Swedish film festival was held in Tiraspol last year, and then the films aroused positive response of Pridnestrovians," concluded the Minister.

Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski and Plenipotentiary of Sweden Ingrid Tersman were unanimous that such events are, first of all, a way to understand another culture, an attempt to understand how people in other countries live, what they feel. "Swedish movies are stories of life, the situations, every one of us may face. They are realistic, they have a lot of emotions that hurt the feelings of the viewer. I think that upon watching these films, you will learn a lot about our character and understand who we are and whence we come from," concluded the Swedish diplomat.

Pridnestrovie hosted an open National Torball Championship as part of the events dedicated to the Day of the white cane.

Torball is a game for blind athletes with a special audio ball that makes a noise when you move it around. Torball competitions are held on a rectangular platform 16 meters long and 7 meters wide. The object of the game played by two teams that consist of three players is to the put the ball into the opponents' goals, which stretch the entire width (7 meters) on each end of the playing field. The ball thrown by hand has to pass under three cords with bells attached, strung across the rink.

In the championship of the republic there took part eight teams: Tiraspol and Kishinev put two teams each, also there were parasportsmen from Bendery, Soroki, Bessarabka and Moscow. Thus, for the first time Pridnestrovian Torball Championship has acquired international status.

The tournament games formula implied a very busy schedule of meetings. The Tiraspol team "Athletics" was the best, another Tiraspol team, "Tiras" took the third place, passing the Kishinev guests to the second place.
