- в FM-диапазоне - на русском, украинском и молдавском языках;

- в СВ-диапазоне - на русском языке;

News from Pridnestrovie

A regular meeting of the Joint Control Commission was held in the Security Zone in Pridnestrovie, during which the Pridnestrovian delegation issued a number of statements.

Because of the lack of possibility of normal functioning of the working group on the interaction of law enforcement agencies of Moldova and Pridnestrovie within the Joint Investigation Team, various incidents uncoordinated situations occur periodically the Security Zone. One of the statements concerns the operation of a unit documenting Moldavian citizens in the city of Bendery, which came into effect this year, the second statement was made about the illegal detention of a citizen of Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation Yevgeny Shapovalov by Moldova police. So far, he is located at the remand center in the city of Kishinev.

"Whatever crime he committed, the Moldavian police acted illegally. They were supposed to notify the Pridnestrovian part of the Joint operational investigative group. Since the Moldavian delegation has agreed to provide all documents relating to the incident and asked for this week's time, we will return to this matter on 7 November," said the co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov.

Another incident happened in the Security Zone. The Moldavian side without the consent of the other parties to the peacekeeping operation deployed a communication system in the headquarters of the Joint Staff of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

Following the demands of the Pridnestrovian delegation to the Joint Control Commission, supported by the Russian part of the JCC, the communications system was phased out.

Also, according to Oleg Belyakov, there were shifts in some other aspects of the stationing of Moldavian troops in the peacekeeping headquarters. Recall that a secret entrance to the headquarters was discovered. In the course of the regular committee meeting Moldavian side has agreed to eliminate it. Also, consent was achieved to review the organization of the Moldavian peacekeepers' service. Recall that, without the consent of the JCC and the Joint Military Command of the JPF, the Republic of Moldova has introduced armed troops to the territory of the Russian peacekeeping battalion, which is the headquarters of the peacekeepers. They have set up clock duty and a vehicle fleet. The Moldavian delegation has agreed to consider the proposals of the other parties, with regards to the resolution of this matter.

In the framework of the Conference on Confidence-Building Measures, held in the Bavarian town of Landshut (Germany), the organizers held a meeting with the heads of delegations of the parties - Yevgeny Shevchuk and Yuri Leanca. During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of issues of normalization of Pridnestrovie-Moldova relations. The head of state welcomed the initiative of the German side on a number of socio-economic projects in Pridnestrovie.

During the meeting the Pridnestrovian and the Moldavian parties exchanged views. Yevgeny Shevchuk said that there are no alternatives of the Joint Control Commission, and that any questions of peacekeeping operations are in its exclusive competence. The Pridnestrovian side stated that no other formats, monitoring groups in the Security Zone Pridnestrovie will not be supported and encouraged the Moldavian side to strictly follow the documents that govern the interaction within the Security Zone.

Regarding trade cooperation, the President of Pridnestrovie declared that, first of all, one needs to remove all restrictions, unlock foreign trade. Without this new economic and trade initiatives remain mere declarations.

The President talked about blocking the Pridnestrovian economy at another meeting of the "5+2" format and Germany. Recall that the "5+2" format comprises representatives of the conflicting parties - Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the mediators in the negotiations - the OSCE, Ukraine and the Russian Federation, as well as observers - from the United States and the European Union.

The meeting dwelt on the upcoming initialing of the Moldova-EU free trade agreement. Yevgeny Shevchuk said that in the present circumstances, taking into account the blockade, the new rules generated by this Agreement will lead to greater economic strangulation of our republic. It would undermine the potential for further cooperation in other areas. He expressed the hope that the EU will explore the initiative to develop a special formula to trade with Pridnestrovie, which would be issued by the Protocol and accordingly reflect the interests of the Pridnestrovian industrial sector.

Yevgeny Shevchuk urged participants to the "5+2" format to promote greater social-economic interaction of the parties. According to him, without this it is impossible to build a level of trust.

Regarding the opening of the bridge in the village of Bychok and unlocking the international transit corridor, the head of Pridnestrovie reiterated the former approach regarding the need to create guaranteed conditions for transit and Pridnestrovian agents, ensuring the freedom of movement of persons and returning to our country the opportunity to exercise cargo, passenger road transportation.

During the meeting the President of Pridnestrovie again called on all parties to respect the will of Pridnestrovians, and assured that the republic's leadership will continue to take all possible measures to protect the interests of the residents of the state, despite its international non-recognition. He also stressed that one has to solve the problematic issues in the settlement process only on the basis of the principle of equality, which was stipulated last year.

At the invitation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, representatives of the State Customs Committee of Pridnestrovie participated in the XIV International Exhibition "Customs 2013: Technology FEA", which was held in Moscow.

Pridnestrovian customs officials familiarized themselves with the experience of Russian and foreign colleagues in the field of customs control and clearance of goods, the application of information technologies and means of control, to improve the customs infrastructure development-related services.

It should be noted that the State Customs Committee for the past 7 years has been taking part in such exhibitions, which are traditionally held in Russia since 1999 and are timed to the day of the customs officer of the Russian Federation.

The exhibition's theme was "Towards the Sochi - 2014". It was attended by representatives of the customs authorities from more than 20 countries of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Member States of the Customs Union, the World Customs Organization (WCO), the Secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Russian and foreign business and academia.

According to representatives of the State Customs Committee of Pridnestrovie, a number of innovations in the field of customs deserve special study because their implementation would be useful for the Pridnestrovian customs. Among these are technologies of electronic prior notification of customs authorities on goods' arrival, a system that allows real-time tracking of the movement of the vehicle.

The representatives of Pridnestrovie were interested in the software products for electronic declaration of goods through the use of the Internet and the website of the Federal Customs Service, as well as new developments of the Federal Customs Service in the field of IT-technologies, including providing processing information in electronic declaration.

"We saw a lot of interesting things in the field of information, technical and legal support. Studying the experience of the customs services of different countries shows that today we do not lag behind international standards. And it is undeniable success, especially given the realities of the political situation around the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, as well as the complexity of funding and logistical support," said chairman of the Pridnestrovian customs Gennady Kuz'michev.

"We take as a basis certain technological innovations presented at the exhibition, and will implement them in accordance with the directions that are indicated in the Annual Message of the President of Pridnestrovie in terms of improving the quality of customs administration and monitoring procedures to speed up the border checking," stated the head of the agency.

The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie held a working meeting on the implementation of the project "Roads of Peace" in the country.

According to the concept of the ideological mastermind of the project "Roads of Peace", the head of the Centre "Law of Peace" Professor Irina Umnova, the Arches of Peace are installed in areas of the CIS, where at various times there were committed acts of terrorism or armed conflicts, thus forming a symbolic "Road of Peace".

"Roads of Peace" has already passed through the cities of the Russian Federation, Rostov-on-Don, Vladikavkaz, Beslan, Nalchik, Stavropol, Budennovsk, Volgograd, as well as Ukrainian Melitopol. The opening of the Arch of Peace in Pridnestrovie, according to the organizers, is to symbolize the durability of the atmosphere of peace and stability around Pridnestrovie, which was brought to the banks of the Dniester by Russian peacekeepers.

Recall that the competition to design the Arch of Peace was held among the students of the Pridnestrovian State University named after Taras Shevchenko. Implementation of the "Roads of Peace" in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic began in the spring and summer of this year, but due to some objective reasons, works to the creation of the Arch of Peace have been postponed.

At the meeting it was decided that the Arch of Peace will be built at the entrance to the Pridnestrovian city of Bendery the worst-hit during the fighting in 1992. The location was chosen taking into account the wishes of a number of public organizations of the republic.

"This is a very symbolic place, because Bendery was exposed to the treacherous aggression on the part of the Republic of Moldova in 1992," said the deputy of the Supreme Soviet Vyacheslav Tobuh. He also noted that an Orthodox cross and a bell, which will decorate the arch, represent the power of the spirit and depth of faith of Pridnestrovians, who, despite the fallen tests, did not got sore, but are building their prosperous future in peace and hope.

Previously, we recall, it was assumed that the Arch of Peace will be built in the village of Parkany, located between Tiraspol and Bendery.

According to the head of training and Producing Center of the Moscow Institute of Business and Law Tatiana Yarchevskaya, organizers in Russia consider it a matter of honor to implement the project in Pridnestrovie. However, she stressed that Pridnestrovie's participation is not limited to the project "The Way of the World" and humanitarian programs to be implemented by the Russian Center "The Right of Peace". The Russian guest expressed the hope that "the Arch of Peace will remind politicians of the power of dialogue in resolving the most difficult issues."

It is expected everyone will be able to take part in raising funds for the construction and installation of the monument.

Responding to questions from journalists after the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Schornikov noted that the Foreign Ministry of the Republic from the outset warmly and enthusiastically embraced the initiative of the Centre "Law of Peace." According to him, the Arch of Peace will become a symbol of gratitude of the people of Pridnestrove to the Russian soldier who has ensured more than twenty years of peace and prosperity in the Pridnestrovian land.

According to the coach of the world champion in Pankration from Dubossary Sergei Ivanov, Pokatilov's participation in the prestigious competition secured his victory at the European Championship this summer. In St. Petersburg, only eight athletes who had received a special license competed in this form of martial arts. They are exclusively champions and winners of international competitions.

Pokatilov defeated the Hungarian champion in the first bout and the American in the second. In the final, he was injured and took second place.

According to the coach, the athlete is determined to continue his sports career and begin competing after recovery.

"Our pupil does not lose touch with his native city. He often meets with young athletes and shares with them his experience. Pokatilov is a regular participant of the traditional international tournament in the memory of the first Dubossary Cossack Ataman Pantelei Sazonov and a three-time champion," said Sergey Ivanov.
